SBI Associates PO Pattern - 2010

Written Examination consists of two parts:
i)Objective Test(Time = 120minutes Marks =200):
It will comprise of four sections namely:
1)Test of English Language                                            50Q     50Marks
2)Test of GA, Marketing, Computer Awareness            50Q     50Marks
3)Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation               50Q     50Marks
4)Test of High Level Reasoning                                    50Q     50Marks
Note: Questions on the above sections(especially 3rd & 4th sections) are quite complex compared to what you faced for previous Bank PO exams. For each questions you will get 1mark. For every wrong answer 0.25 mark will be deducted.
In order to clear the objective test based on the Time and the No. of questions given with maintaining 95% accuracy. Time duration for each Section is shown below(This is an example only):
1)English                                         35Q     30Min
2)GA, Marketing, Computer           35Q     20Min
3)DA & Interpretation             35Q     35Min
4)Reasoning                                     35Q     35Min
ii)Descriptive(Time = 60minutes Marks =50):
It will consist of:
->Letter Writing
-> Précis Writing
->Essay.
Note: This paper will be evaluated only if you qualify in the Objective test only with high in percentile ranking. Both Objective(all sections) & Descriptive are to be reckoned for Merit ranking. The Total marks considered for the written exam is 250(200+50).

    thanks for the wonderful post to have an idea of sbi asso.po exam pattern and about time management
    but what about negative marking if it is not mentioned?what to assume? I personally think there is negative marking as it is PO exam.

  3. varun its confirm that ACCORDING TO THE INFORMATIN HANDOUT

    THERE WILL BE PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS BY YOU IN THE OBJECTIVE TEST/ 1/4TH MARKS WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR WRONG ANSWERS

    YOU SHOULD THEREFORE BE CAREFUL IN MARKING YOUR ANSWERS

    day by day im depressing.i hav been preparing for these exams 4 past one year.recently one interview also gone.i dedicated.wen d sbi clk results will be out.pls inform me.in sbi clk exam.DO U HAV ANY IDEA.O.B.C i did well.but i didnt get it.pls give me ur valuable sugessions reg.dis.i feel very sad about my position.THANQ SIR.

  9. negative result for bank of india feeling too bad....I attempted around 70 ques in res, 35 in maths nd 43 in gk still.....please help me how to give sbi po ..........I hav to clear it....at any cost

    Two Reasons are there:
    1)Attempting most questions in each section only is not enough..you have to maintain accuracy...minimum of 95% to the attempted questions bcoz negative marking is there.
    2)you have to qualify descriptive test also.
    Now You know how many to attempt in each section...so now practice daily up to the exam..
    You have to work out to clear SBI exam.

    Interview marks might be for 50 or 100 marks depends on the bank.
    In order to qualify in interview you have to get minimum of 50% of marks to the total marks.

  12. sir i want 2 knw dat one has 2 do how many questions in each section in order 2 get into d merit n also hw abt d accuracy..........in clerk/p.o. ......both d examz .plz make it clear 4 each section.......for e.g. in clerk in maths out of 50 if one has done 40 den hw many is 2 b correct ????
