Burj Dubai(Dubai, UAE), the tallest tower in the world will be opened on 4th January 2010.
Its Construction began on 21 September 2004.
Features of Burj Duai:
ü  It is also the tallest man-made structure ever built, at 818 m (2,684 ft) surpassing even the 2,063-ft KVLY-TV mast in North Dakota, America. 
ü  The total budget for the Burj Dubai project is about US $4.1 billion.
ü  160 floors(recorded most floors in a single building in the world) after World Trade Center(110)[which collapsed in 2001].
ü  Burj Dubai has been designed to be the centerpiece of a large-scale, mixed-use development
ü  It has the highest swimming pool in the world, on the 76th floor, and the most elevated place of worship with plans for a mosque on the 158th floor. 
ü  There are 900 studios and one-to-four-bedroom flats and 144 apartments in the Burj Dubai.
ü  Having world's highest elevator installation.
ü  Having Worlds fastest elevators at speed of 64 km/h (40 mph).
ü  The first world's tallest structure in history to include residential space.
ü  Its air-conditioning system is the equivalent of melting 12,500 tonnes of ice a day, and it will consume millions of gallons of desalinated water in a city that already has the world’s highest per capita carbon footprint. 
ü  Burj Dubai is being built primarily by immigrants from South Asia mainly from India and Pakistan, toiled round the clock for USD 5 a day. 
ü  The tower is being constructed by a South Korean company, Samsung Engineering & Construction, which also built the Petronas Twin Towers and the Taipei 101.
