Bank of Baroda PO exam Pattern - 2010

Selection Procedure:
Selection will be on the basis of performance in Written test and Interview.
Written Test consists of only Objective Test. Date of Exam: 30-05-10.
Objective Test:

 Note: Total of 275 questions with a composite time of 180 minutes. For every wrong answer you will lose 0.25 marks. You have to pass in each of the objective test with a minimum score of 40% in each section.
How many questions should I attempt in each section?
The below table shows you an example of how many questions should be attempted in order to clear the objective test.

 Note: If you follow the above table you must maintain 100% accuracy. When compared to PSB PO exam pattern you will find 10 minutes more in this exam. In PSB pattern also same five sections with similar number of questions and only change is Computers test is replaced with Marketing Aptitude. No Descriptive paper in this exam. So try to score more marks in the objective test. Since how many marks are allocated for each question/section have not been known, assume that each question carries one mark. As of known to me total marks are for 300 marks. So if you get 180 marks or above you will have better chance to clear the objective test. All Sections are considered for Merit Ranking. SBI Associates PO Pattern - 2010

Written Examination consists of two parts:
i)Objective Test(Time = 120minutes Marks =200):
It will comprise of four sections namely:
1)Test of English Language                                            50Q     50Marks
2)Test of GA, Marketing, Computer Awareness            50Q     50Marks
3)Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation               50Q     50Marks
4)Test of High Level Reasoning                                    50Q     50Marks
Note: Questions on the above sections(especially 3rd & 4th sections) are quite complex compared to what you faced for previous Bank PO exams. For each questions you will get 1mark. For every wrong answer 0.25 mark will be deducted.
In order to clear the objective test based on the Time and the No. of questions given with maintaining 95% accuracy. Time duration for each Section is shown below(This is an example only):

Note: This paper will be evaluated only if you qualify in the Objective test only with high in percentile ranking. Both Objective(all sections) & Descriptive are to be reckoned for Merit ranking. The Total marks considered for the written exam is 250(200+50).

Allahabad Bank PO Pattern 2010

The Written exam will consist of two parts:
1.      Objective Test(180 min)
2.      Descriptive Paper(90 min)
Objective Test:
It will comprise of five sections. Below mentioned figures are the no. of Questions(Q) and maximum marks(M) carried for each section.
1.      Reasoning Ability                75Q                 75M
2.      Aptitude                                 50Q                 50M   
3.      General Awareness              75Q                 75M
4.      Computer Knowledge          50Q                 50M
5.      English                                   50Q                 only qualifying.
Total number of questions: 300. Only 250 marks are considered for merit ranking(to qualify in written exam). You have to clear in each section in order to qualify the written exam. Minimum qualifying marks in each section is 40% of total marks allocated to that particular section for general candidates.
Note: For every right answer you will get 1mark and for every wrong answer 0.25 of the marks will be deducted.
Based on the time and questions give by them, the following is an example of how many questions should be attempted within in a specified time in order to clear the exam for general candidates:
1.      Reasoning Ability                55Q                 50min
2.      Aptitude                                 35Q                 35min
3.      General Awareness              50Q                 35min
4.      Computer Knowledge          40Q                 30min
5.      English                                   30Q                 30min
Note: you must maintain minimum of 95% accuracy if you follow the above figures. If you can attempt more, then you are always welcome but make sure about accuracy.
Descriptive paper:
There will be 3 questions for 50 marks and you should complete within 90minutes. In order to clear this descriptive you must score minimum of 25marks out of 50marks. It would consists of test on English Composition comprising
·        Letter writing
·        Essay writing
·        Precise writing
Note: This descriptive paper is quite different and quite tough in order to clear, when compared to other banks. If you clear the both tests(objective and descriptive) separately,  then only you are qualified for Interview. So concentrate equally with objective.
The total time taken to complete this exam is 4 ½ hours. So be patience and be confident throughout the exam(21-02-10).

Bank Of India PO Exam Pattern - 2010

Objective Test:
1. Reasoning Ability       : 100Q ======== 150 marks
2. Quantitative Aptitude :  50Q =========  75 marks
3. General Awareness     :  50Q =========  75 marks
Note: No English Paper for this exam. For each correct answer you will get 1.5marks. For each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted. Total 200 Questions 300 marks. 120 minutes (2 hours) will be given to solve the objective test. You have to maintain min. of 40% of marks in each objective test.
No. of questions should be attempted (suggested) in order to qualify the written test:
1. Reasoning : 60-65 questions in 60 minutes.
2. Aptitude    : 30-35 questions in 30 minutes.
3. GA            : 30-35 questions in 30 minutes.
Note: you must maintain 95% - 100% accuracy. There will be a huge competition.
So be prepare well before going to exam. All sections are crucial. Try to get around 180 marks out of 300 marks. If you can attempt more questions then you are always welcome, but maintain accuracy.For General Awareness section prepare Current affairs for the month August, September, October & November.

Descriptive Test:
5 internal questions will be there each carrying 20 marks with a time of 60minutes.
Total of 100marks.Qualifying mark will be 50.
Questions based on Socio-economic development and Communication Skills.
Don’t neglect this exam. This test also plays a crucial role to be selected for interview. These marks are also added to final merit list. Only if you qualify in objective test, this paper will be evaluated.
Sample questions:
§  Suggest any 3 ways to eradicate child labour in India. How effective your think will these suggestions be?
§  What do you think may be the reason that we still cannot provide safe drinking water to all parts of the country even after 60 years of Independence.
